A PEOPLE THAT SUFFERED INJUSTICE NON-STOP

The Book of Zechariah 11:5 explains how the oppression and selling of our people matches Biblical prophecy. The verse says, “Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich.” According to our teaching, this describes nations that profited from the captivity, slavery, and suffering of Israel while believing they had done nothing wrong. We connect this to the transatlantic slave trade, colonization, and systems of injustice that enriched nations through the oppression of Blacks and Native peoples.

We also connect the injustice with Book of Isaiah 42:22, where Israel is described as “robbed and spoiled” and hidden “in prison houses.” these verses together are seen as signs identifying Israel in the last days: a people scattered, sold, oppressed, imprisoned, and deprived of their heritage, while the nations responsible claim innocence and prosperity from those actions.
