The Government of the Kingdom of Heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven is not described in Scripture as a democracy or a government established by men. It is a divine government established by the Most High, ruled by His Anointed King, and administered through those whom He has chosen from the foundation of the world. The prophets and apostles describe a kingdom of perfect righteousness where judgment proceeds from God and where every office is appointed according to His will.
Yahawashi the King and High Priest
At the head of this Kingdom stands Ha Mashiac Yahawashi. He is both King and Priest, fulfilling the offices foretold by the prophets.
The prophet Zechariah spoke of the Branch who would sit and rule upon His throne while also serving as a priest. In Him, the offices of kingship and priesthood are united.
As King, Yahawashi will govern the nations with righteousness. His judgments will be perfect, and corruption will have no place in His administration. The law shall proceed from Zion, and all nations shall be required to submit themselves to His authority.
As High Priest, He serves as the mediator of the covenant and the representative of God's authority among mankind. Under His rule, peace and justice will fill the earth.
The Firstfruits Redeemed From the Earth
The book of Revelation speaks of a special company known as the firstfruits unto God and the Lamb.
These are the 144,000 described in Revelation 14, who stand with the Lamb and are identified as those redeemed from among men. They are called the firstfruits because they were chosen before the great harvest that follows.
According to this understanding, these firstfruits represent the righteous servants of God from previous generations. Included among them are the prophets, the apostles, and other faithful men who completed their course in righteousness and received their reward.
Having been raised in glory and immortality, they serve as heavenly rulers and administrators under Yahawashi. They are transformed into spiritual beings and become part of the divine government that assists the Messiah in the administration of the Kingdom.
As it is written, the saints shall judge the world and even judge angels. These firstfruits therefore occupy positions of authority within the heavenly administration of the Kingdom.
The 144,000 of the Twelve Tribes
Revelation 7 describes another group of 144,000 who are sealed from the twelve tribes of Israel.
This company is specifically identified according to tribal lineage, with twelve thousand sealed from each tribe. They are gathered during the last days and preserved through the judgments that come upon the earth.
According to this understanding, these are not the same group as the firstfruits of Revelation 14. Rather, they are Israelites raised up during the final generation to serve in the earthly administration of the Kingdom.
These men are chosen from among the tribes and prepared for leadership in the restored nation of Israel. They remain connected to the earthly inheritance promised to the fathers and participate in the physical government established under the reign of the Messiah.
As Israel becomes the chief nation upon the earth, these servants assist in administering justice, teaching righteousness, and governing according to the laws of God.
The Government of the Saints
The prophets declare that the saints shall take the Kingdom and possess it forever. This government extends throughout the earth and reaches every nation.
Under Yahawashi's authority, the saints will exercise righteous judgment. There will be no bribery, corruption, favoritism, or oppression. Every decision will be based upon truth and justice.
The resurrected righteous who serve in heavenly offices and the chosen servants who administer earthly affairs will work together under one King and one law.
The Kingdom will therefore operate according to a divine order established from above.
Israel at the Center of the Kingdom
The government of the Kingdom will be centered in Jerusalem, the city chosen by God. From there, Yahawashi shall reign over the earth, and the tribes of Israel shall occupy their appointed inheritances.
The nations will come to Jerusalem to learn the ways of righteousness. Kings and rulers will acknowledge the authority of the Messiah. Those who submit themselves to His government will receive blessing, while those who rebel will face correction and judgment.
Israel will fulfill its calling as a kingdom of priests and a light unto the nations. Through the administration established by Yahawashi and His chosen servants, the knowledge of God will spread throughout the earth.
A Perfect and Everlasting Government
Unlike the governments of this present age, the government of the Kingdom of Heaven will never fail. Its rulers will not be motivated by greed, ambition, or self-interest. They will govern according to the wisdom and righteousness of God.
The King will be Yahawashi. The firstfruits redeemed from the earth will serve in heavenly authority. The sealed servants from the twelve tribes will administer the earthly affairs of the restored Kingdom. Together they will establish justice throughout the world and bring all nations under the righteous rule of the Most High.
Then shall the words of the prophets be fulfilled, and the Kingdom shall endure forever, bringing peace, righteousness, and the knowledge of God to the ends of the earth.
