Step 5: Accept Correction, Rebuke, and Instruction Without Pride

A repentant person must remain teachable and humble.

“He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul.” — Proverbs 15:32

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend.” — Proverbs 27:6

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth.” — Hebrews 12:6

Correction is part of growth. Whether private or public, rebuke is meant to refine character and bring a person back into alignment with righteousness.

Key Principle:

• Do not react emotionally to correction

• Measure all rebuke by Scripture

• Allow discipline to produce growth, not resentment
